From an awe-inspiring Planetarium run by Director Neil Degrasse Tyson, everyone’s favorite Astrophysicist, to gigantic exhibits on the biggest planets and smallest particles in the universe, dinosaurs, mammals, the history of science and more!

A hands-on, energetic educational experience where you can indulge your curiosity and nurture your creativity. In addition to amazing exhibits, daily demonstrations include: Cow’s Eye Dissection (explore how our eyes work by following the path of light in a real eye), Cool Chemistry (learn how to make ice in 30 seconds, shrink balloons without removing the air inside and crush a can without touching it), Air Play (find out how air pressure can crush a water bottle or keep a balloon inflated without tying a knot), Flight (see what makes hot air balloons, blimps, airplanes and rockets defy gravity), and Design Time (using household items to meet a challenge).

Liberty Science Center is a 300,000-square-foot learning center located in Liberty State Park on the Jersey City bank of the Hudson near the Statue of Liberty. Dedicated to bringing the excitement of science to people of all ages, Liberty Science Center houses 12 museum exhibition halls, a live animal collection with 110 species, giant aquariums, a 3D theater, the nation's largest IMAX Dome Theater, live simulcast surgeries, tornado and hurricane-force wind simulators, K-12 classrooms and labs, and teacher-development programs. More than half a million students, teachers, and parents visit the Science Center each year, and tens of thousands more participate in the Center's offsite and online programs.
- Many institutions offer “pay-what-you-can” admission prices, meaning you can visit the permanent parts of the attraction even if you can only pay $0! However, it’s important to remember that staff still need to get paid and running the place does cost money, so even if you can afford only $1, they will appreciate it!
